Centre Coordinator

Salary: UOM 7 – $106,432 – $115,211 p.a. plus 17% super

About the Role
The Centre Coordinator will provide vital project and administrative support to the new centre focused on research, training, and acceleration for Traditional Owners. Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will manage operational tasks, support project delivery, and engage with external stakeholders, acting as a key link between the University, FBE and the NNTC and partners. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing executive and administrative support to the Centre’s leadership and various committees, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and tracking action items. 
  • Assisting with Centre establishment tasks, such as facility setup, recruitment, governance structures, and budget management. 
  • Coordinating project deliverables, tracking progress, updating stakeholders, and managing adjustments to ensure timely completion. 
  • Supporting the Centre’s events and engagement strategy, including organising workshops, managing logistics, and maintaining relationships with community and professional stakeholders. 

Who We Are Looking For
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships and deliver timely outcomes across a range of stakeholders. With proven experience in independently managing tasks, using initiative and problem-solving skills, you will also bring collaborative teamwork abilities and experience handling sensitive information with confidentiality. Previous experience in an administrative role within a tertiary or educational environment is highly desirable.

You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or a comparable blend of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, enabling you to effectively prioritise, coordinate, and complete assignments and projects within set deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with desirable skills in database management and a willingness to learn new applications.

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
