PARTNERSHIPS & ENGAGEMENT PROJECT COORDINATOR

About the Role 
The Partnerships & Engagement Project Coordinator will play a critical role in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Master of Teaching Secondary Internship (MTSI) Program during its implementation phase. This innovative program, accredited by the Victorian Institute of Teaching, aligns highly qualified career-change professionals with teaching vacancies in Victorian schools. The role centres on cultivating and strengthening relationships with schools, educational organisations, and other key stakeholders to ensure the program’s success, while seamlessly integrating it into the broader context of the Faculty of Education’s partnerships. Oversee strategic communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement initiatives, ensuring processes are efficient and relationships are nurtured. This role also supports key strategic projects, driving continuous improvement and excellence in professional experience and partnerships. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Coordinating the implementation of the Master of Teaching Secondary Internship (MTSI) Program, including managing employment matching processes, liaising with academic and professional teams, and ensuring timely, streamlined communication with applicants and stakeholders. 
  • Engaging proactively with key stakeholders, including schools, educational organisations, and government bodies, to strengthen existing partnerships, identify new opportunities, and gather feedback to refine program delivery and outcomes. 
  • Designing and implementing strategic communication plans and marketing materials to enhance engagement with industry partners, collaborating with divisional teams to align messaging across key initiatives. 
  • Developing and maintaining effective project management frameworks, schedules, and processes, while supporting stakeholder meetings, such as the MTSI Implementation Group, and contributing to ad-hoc Professional Experience & Partnerships projects as prioritised.

You also have: 

  • A degree coupled with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of extensive professional expertise and training in education or stakeholder engagement. 
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, with proven success in managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering effective outcomes. 
  • Demonstrated experience in partnership management and stakeholder engagement, with a capacity to align diverse functions towards achieving shared objectives. 
  • Advanced technical competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI, alongside the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
