About the Role
The Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences seeks a Strategic Projects lead to guide strategic planning and reporting processes, with a focus on enhancing partnerships and alumni engagement. This role drives initiatives to strengthen collaboration with government, industry, and community partners while supporting research, teaching, and professional training. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the School Manager to drive the ongoing development and implementation of MSPS strategic plan and related reporting requirements. Ensuring maintain awareness of internal and external factors impacting on strategic objectives.
  • Leading and supporting key strategic projects as required, developing, implementing, tracking and reporting of project plans.
  • Preparing and delivering reports (written and verbally) to management and relevant committees as required.

Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will bring excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across diverse audiences. They will be innovative and adaptable, translating creative ideas into practical solutions, while leveraging their organisational skills and high-level computer proficiency to deliver impactful outcomes.

You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and relevant experience or  equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • focused professional with experience in project management and delivery, communications and strategy development.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience relating effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
