About the Role
The Change and Communications Lead is responsible for delivering change and communication services to support transformational initiatives across the university. Leading end-to-end change delivery, this role also offers opportunities to manage change professionals, including Change Managers and Analysts, while ensuring best practice in change management and communication. The role also contributes to practice improvement, governance, and providing expert advice within the Change team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies aligned with the University's goals, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, communication plans, and provide training to equip employees for successful adaptation to change.
  • Oversee people leadership, including capacity and capability development, and monitor the impact, risk, and progress of change initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and practice enhancement within the Change and Communication team, providing support, resources, and governance.

Who we are looking for
You will be adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a team, effectively managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders while prioritising and meeting deadlines in an agile environment. You will also bring extensive knowledge and skills in stakeholder management, change management, governance, strategy, and business impact analysis, contributing to successful project outcomes and organisational readiness.

You will also have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of experience and education/training, plus 3 years of change management experience.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary change management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience providing strategic advice, exceptional client service, and senior executive support in a large, complex organisation.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering communication strategies across various channels to engage internal audiences.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
