About the Role
This position supports the implementation and effective use of the ASQ-TRAK, a culturally adapted developmental screening tool for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

The Lead Facilitator - ASQ-TRAK will lead professional learning activities, coordinate training programs, and engage various sectors to ensure the tool is integrated into health checks, thereby enhancing developmental outcomes for these children.

This role requires strong collaboration, a commitment to professional practice in early childhood development, and alignment with the University's values of innovation, integrity, and accountability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate Practitioner Training workshops, including delivery of workshops and post workshop student management.
  • Travel from home location to workshop delivery sites.
  • Contribute to the ASQ-TRAK training program as a technical lead to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.

Who We Are Looking For
You will possess relevant tertiary qualifications and experience, particularly in understanding early childhood development and engaging sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Your role will involve delivering adult education programs and leading practice across various service sectors, emphasising collaborative work within a team culture that values self-determination and cultural identity.

This position requires proficiency in MS Office, frequent interstate travel, and occasional work outside of standard hours, with a commitment to advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

You will also have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. (Medical, adult education, early childhood education, and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community experience.)
  • The ability to engage sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in ways that affirm cultural identity and promote self-determination.
  • Experience in delivering adult education programs or professional development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
